Privacy Policy for Motii

Motii is a minimalist app operated by Niko Kalpakian. This policy explains what information Motii collects, why it is used, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Motii, we may collect:
- An account identifier created through Firebase Authentication, which may be anonymous.
- Your email address if you provide one.
- An optional first name, used to personalize narrated stories.
- Your written intentions and related content.
- Review activity, such as when you review your intentions.
- Generated story text and audio created from your intentions.
How We Use Your Information
We use this information to provide Motii, save and display your intentions, track reviews, personalize your experience, generate narrated stories, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, and keep the service secure. Stories are generated by AI from your own writing and are not used to provide medical or therapeutic treatment.
Where Your Data Lives
Motii stores account and app data with Google Firebase, including Firestore and Cloud Storage, in the United States region. Service providers process limited information as needed to operate Motii: Google Firebase and Google Cloud, including text-to-speech; Groq for story text generation; RevenueCat for subscription management; Stripe for web payments; and Apple for App Store subscriptions.
What We Do Not Do
Motii does not show ads, sell your personal information, or use third-party tracking for advertising or profiling.
Retention and Deletion
We keep information while it is needed to provide Motii and its features. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data, including intentions, stories, and audio, by emailing themotiiapp@gmail.com. We may retain limited information where required by law or needed to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Children's Privacy
Motii is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when Motii changes. The effective date above will show when it was last updated.
